Bosu 3D System Balance Trainer Provides Versatile Workout For Everybody

Thursday, July 28th, 2011

They look like one half of a stability ball on a flat base: Bosu Balls. The term Bosu means: both sides up. Users can choose to train with the dome side up or with the flat side up. Whatever side is up, the Bosu Trainer always is instable and forces users to keep aligned during the whole exercises. This improves balance and burns more calories than training on a stabile piece of exercise equipment.

The list of Bosu Ball workouts is endless. Cardio workout like steps, knee lifts, and quads can be performed. Stepping on the unstable surface of the Bosu has a lower impact than on the floor. On the other hand, the core muscles get more worked because of the wobbling. That improves balance and flexibility. Other Bosu Ball exercises are great to build up muscle mass, for example, sitting on the dome side and crunch or push ups with hands on the ball. In these cases, the ball gives support, but also forces to align.

For the Bosu 3D System Balance Trainer, a platform with handrail is added to the half ball. The platform is fitted to place the Bosu Ball on it. People can stand on the wobbling ball, hold on the rail and do the workout.

Untrained persons often cannot imagine how many muscles it needs simply to stand on that weak surface. This little exercise can help people with balance problems to get rid of them. Extraordinary many physical therapists use the Bosu Trainer for rehabilitation treatment and recommend them to their patients.

However, 3D System is not only beneficial for beginners and physical therapy. It also increases the range of workout for advanced exercisers. Additional adjustable resistance tubing belongs to the Bosu 3D and provides another big bunch of Bosu Ball exercises. The product comes with a DVD which shows beginners how to perform correct exercises. Advanced users might be used to such exercises but can double check their own habits. Further DVDs and videos are available on the Internet.

The Bosu 3D stand measures 39 x 29 inches, but users need space around it for floor exercises. Browsing reviews for criticism points, we find some complaints that the screw holes were not aligned. One hint might help with this problem: Tighten the screws slightly until they all are in their holes, and then fasten them fully.

Bosu Balls are ideal for everybody from kids to advanced athletes. No other piece of exercise equipment provides such a range of workout. Very beneficial is the dual effect: we can do usual exercises with specific support and improve coordination and balance at the same workout. Last but not least, Bosu Balls are affordable and sometimes the Bosu 3D System Balance Trainer does not cost much more than just the ball.

Do Americans Spend Too Much For Exercise Equipment?

Tuesday, July 5th, 2011

As Americans do we spend way too much for costly exercise equipment that tones only one area of the body. Everywhere you go your bombarded with the thought that all you need to do is put it on the card. You deserve what you want today, not a year from now when you could afford the item. Put it on the card, don’t worry be happy.

“Put it on the card” has been the cry of the financial community for years and we have believed them, racking up huge dept. Every day I usually receive an offer from a credit card company telling me that I deserve to get it now. What you need now usually is the best, top of the line and only because you “deserve it”.

Top of the line in terms of exercise equipment usually is a one trick pony that sells for thousands of dollars and of course guarantees that you will feel your best and start attracting the opposite sex the moment you start to use the equipment.

There is no such thing as one machine or piece of exercise equipment that does it all but, there are numerous pieces of low cost user friendly exercise equipment that will get your body toned and let you keep most of your money in your pocket. Of course you have to use the equipment to get the desired results. admiring the sleek shinny equipment will not tone your body. You have to use the equipment.

For the arms and the upper body nothing beats the spin gym for toning the arms. It is a take off of the old piece of string and large button that we played with as kids but it does a great job of toning the arms.

When it comes to core training or core exercises a medicine ball does wonders, but if you want to double the exercises and mobility including your range of motion the Bender Ball takes those exercises to a new level for the cost of a dinner out. With the money you saved not buying the expensive piece of equipment you can use some of it on a new wardrobe. You’ll need it to showcase your new toned self.

If you’re looking for a new perky butt there are expensive machines costing in the thousand of dollars that will have you slaving over them looking to firm up and perk up your butt. Or you could use the Flex Mini Skirt that lets you go about your normal business while it tweaks and firms your butt. No one will ever know you’re exercising except your body, especially your butt.

The point I’m trying to make is that you don’t need to break the bank to exercise, you just need to use common sense when purchasing exercise equipment. You could spend in the thousands of dollars or $29.95 for a piece of equipment that will give you the same results.

First you need to determine exactly what you want to accomplish with your exercise plan, then check around for equipment that will help you accomplish that goal not neglecting to look at the smaller pieces of exercise equipment. Often they will accomplish your goals faster and better as well as leaving you money to use for your new wardrobe.

Hopefully I have given you food for thought. Maybe I got you thinking that the most expensive isn’t necessarily the best and that answering the question Do Americans spend to much for exercise equipment? It is up to you.

Tuesday, April 26th, 2011

There are some good reasons to choose home rowing machines for cardio exercises at home. First and foremost, rowing machine workout is perfect to strengthen the heart and lungs with unusually low impact on joints and bones. Moreover, while rowing many muscle groups get worked at the same time. Experts praise this double effect and many busy people take advantage of it.

There are tons of affordable home rowing machines for sale. Famous brand names, like Kettler, Stamina, Concept or Lifecore, are among a wide range of different rowing machines. To get an idea about the price range, let us take a brief peek at two examples of the best rowing machines. Concept2 rowing machines are on the top of the list. Even elite rowing teams use them for their training. The Concept2 Model D is available for 900 Dollars. That is inexpensive for such top quality, but it might be too expensive for beginners. No problem, there are excellent home rowing machines for significantly less money available. Stamina rowing machines are lower priced, for example, the Stamina Body Trac Glider 1050. This compact fold away machine has a list price of 230 Dollars, but we often can get them for much less than that. Consumers report a high level of satisfaction with both home rowing machines.

The double effect of cardio and muscle training at the same time is the primary advantage of rowing machine workout. The cardiovascular part does not only strengthen the heart and lungs it is very calorie consuming too. The muscle building part has a long-term effect. More muscle mass gives us more strength and enhances the BMR. With more muscle mass, the body uses more calories even in the state of rest. That is crucial for weight control. Good muscles support the spine and feed the bones. People who maintain their muscle mass remain strong even at an older age.

Home rowing machines are suitable for all states of experience and age. All members of a family can perform rowing machine workout on their own level in privacy at home. We just sit down and row as we want. For cardiovascular training, we row fast, but we row slower and longer to reduce fat. There are different resistance levels to make the rowing machine workout easier or harder. During the rowing, we strengthen abdominals, chest, back, arms and legs. Most home rowing machines have a screen that tracks at least distance, speed, and use of calories. Rowing is easy, but do not lean to far forward or back and do not use the handles in a jerky manner.

Cardio exercise at home on home rowing machines are performed in a comfortably sitting position. Besides the cardiovascular training, the rowing machine workout strengthens the whole body and helps to build up muscle mass. That is beneficial for overall health and fitness as well as weight control. The double effect lets us safe time.

Bosu Balls Are Ideal Pieces of Exercise Equipment for Busy People

Tuesday, March 29th, 2011

Many busy people want to improve their health and fitness with exercises, but they do not have the time to go to the gym. A Bosu Balance Trainer, also called Bosu Ball, is an ideal solution for many of them to perform a regular workout at home, in the office or even on some business trips. Have a look why.

A lot of people have never heard the term Bosu, but they have seen the funny-looking half of a ball on a flat base. The brand name Bosu means both sides up. That is how these half balls can be used, with the flat side up or with the dome side up. We can balance, stand, sit, step, and squat on them during the exercises. Classic Bosu Balls have a diameter of 24.6 inches. They are easy to transport and always ready for a short workout. That is extremely useful for busy people.

A Bosu Balance Trainer is like a small home gym because the variety of Bosu Ball workouts seems endless. As the name expresses, they are for balance training but also for flexibility, coordination and strength. They support abdominal exercises, like crunches and leg twists, as well as lower back workout. Cardio, yoga, and trainer programs, like Pilates, can be performed with Bosu Balls. This alone allows dozens of shorter or longer training programs. Adding a small device of exercise equipment, like a ball or dump bells, opens hundreds of varieties.

During all kinds of Bosu Ball workouts, we have to stay in balance and coordinate different muscle groups. This doubles the training effectiveness and enhances the use of calories. Besides, there is a third effect. By balancing during the exercises, we work little muscles, which we usually do not train, and not even realize. That is outstanding for overall strength and flexibility.

Bosu Balls have so many “pros” that some people may ask for the “cons”. Indeed, cons are hard to find. Some disappointed people report manufacturing faults, for example, that the dome had separated from the base. With the Bosu Ball workouts, everybody seems to be happy and successful. Nevertheless, especially beginners should be careful using the ball and not clowning around. They have to get used to the instability of the workout position. Even the inventor does not recommend standing on the platform side, but a lot of people love to do it on their own risk.

Busy people who want to start a short routine with Bosu Balls should choose abdominal exercises. To perform in a sitting position on this wobbling piece of exercise equipment is relatively easy and secure. Crunches and leg twists are extremely effective while sitting on the dome side. It is recommended to perform every second day 3 sets of 12 crunches and 3 sets of 12 leg twists. That needs just minutes, but it strengthens the solid core muscle group enormously. There will be a better posture and a better feeling in the midsection soon.

Another good idea to start: Watch the exercise DVDs which normally come with Bosu Balls. Experts have made these training programs. They help to exercise correctly from the beginning. Users only need to follow the instructions. Besides, the Bosu Balance Trainer DVDs are motivating. It is fun to integrate little Bosu Ball workout phases in a busy daily routine. That boosts the heart rate, strengthens the body and fights stress.

Who Says You Need To Join A Gym? Get These Five Pieces Of Equipment For The Best Home Gym

Monday, February 14th, 2011

For many women that may want to join a gym, they can’t because it’s just not feasible. My sister lives downtown DC and is a really good example of this. She can’t join because not only does she not have a car, but the gym is three miles away so she can’t really walk or run there either.

There are so many women that can’t join gyms and they have to workout in their home or apartment and have to make it count too. Here are the pieces of equipment that you really need and how to get them cheap.

First, weight training for women is so important so you have to start building a weights collection. Since you probably have a small space, you probably can only have so many. Over a few months, you can build up a ten, fifteen, twenty five, and thirty pounds dumbbell collection which should be good for a long time. Those emails should be enough to really let you get amazing exercises in for your workout plans so you can build that lean muscle and burn that fat quickly.

Bands are the second type of exercise equipment you need. Weight training doesn’t always have to be only weights and when you don’t have a lot of room, bands are great. Bands are not very expensive and you should get at each of the different resistance levels that you can. What really makes bands so functional is the fact that you can use them for some great resistance and in circuit training too.

Third, the stability ball is another thing you really need. This is the one piece of equipment that will probably take up the most room in your place but it’s so nice. Many women use it as the chair to their desk as a way to integrate it better. When it comes to working out with a stability ball, they are great because they help bring more balance in your exercise routines which really helps burn fat.

Fourth, you are going to need a jump rope. This is very inexpensive and it’s one of the very best pieces of cardio equipment. You can integrate your jump rope into almost any workout and that adds some amazing fat blasting power. Make sure you get a speed jump rope because you are going to have to be intense with it and a speed rope is the only thing that can really help.

That last thing that you need to pick up is a door pull up bar. Pull ups and pull up bars are one of the best exercises to help you burn fat and when you get stronger and do more of them, you will feel so amazing about yourself. Plus a pull up bar can be used for tons of great exercises and they really help round out an amazing workout that you can do in your home.

This is the equipment you need to be able to get amazing workouts in so you never need a gym again.
